Dilly Dally

My favorite toy. My favorite nightmare. My favorite piece of fiberglass, “Dilly Dally!” My boat. My first “do it all” boat.

Dilly Dally was born in 2001 in Port St Lucie, Florida. Birthed by Twin Vee, she is a BayCat 19 with a Suzuki 140hp on it. It SCOOTS! And it’s a Catamaran! That means Two Hulls, not just a flat bottom. She handles 2 to 3 ft waves like they weren’t there. Perfect for lakes and inshore. It only requires 10 inches of water to get where I need her to go. She’s Sweeeeeet! LOVE HER MEAN IT! And the Suzie on the back has been “the” most reliable piece of gas burning equipment I ever owned. I’ve got her rigged out with a Minn Kota 80lb thrust (Terrova Riptide) trolling motor that uses TWO remote controls. One of  the COOLEST FEATURES is its ability to use GPS to STAY in ONE SPOT, basically providing an anchored spot without an anchor! And it works in the wind and current! No ropes, no “I forgot the anchor” issues (don’t make me go there), no rock-paper-scissors for who’s gonna lift it off the bottom… just press a button and POOF! You’re Spot ON! YEAH! … Also on board is the Humminbird 9 inch Fish Finder with all kind of ways to look at stuff in the water column (that’s the fancy way to say find fish). See my post on Finding Fish.

One of the best features of my dearest Dilly Dally is that she likes to nose up to beaches and hang! Whether it’s the lake or the inshore, I can push it up and step off the bow (front) and declare “I HAVE ARRIVED” in most places other boats can’t approach. Some of the best times we (Renée .. the admiral .. and I) have had include Dilly Dally, a picnic lunch, sitting on some sandy beach enjoying satellite music piped in from above. But… I digress… THIS scenario is YOURS for the ASKING. Because YOUR DAY YOUR WAY means getting you to these spots and letting you enjoy it too! Want to take a boat ride to a private spot and hang out? Pick a day, a time range and we’ll take you there, plant you in the sand and come get you when you’re ready. Savvy mate?
